for simplicity sake, retain the stock manifolds and use GN style extensions for a single turbo setup. Should be plenty of room for a small framed turbo on the drivers side. Fuel pump isn't any different than normal non-DI cars, all the heavy pressurization is done by a mechanical pump at the engine level of delivery (slap in a walbro and be done w/ it )

A mild system w/ a piggyback system shouldn't be a problem. Auto trans is rated at 500nm input, although that is the factory maximum rating for it's entire lifespan coverage. Should be able to hold much more, but there will be premature wear. Wonder if the stock tranny ECU will control the 80 series trans...
