These types of reception issues could be caused by prolonged driving through a long tunnel or in parking garages may cause a brief loss of signal, while driving in extremely mountainous regions may cause a decrease in signal strength. If these are not the types of terrain or building that you encounter on your day to day driving I would suggest having the vehicle checked by your dealer.
