basicly you have to bypass the resistor wire that feeds the stock dist. and supply a 12 volt feed from you ignition switch to the H.E.I. unit. the stock set-up starts with 12 volts but once the start procedure is complete it goes down to 9.5 volts to run. electronic ignition needs a full 12 volts.
