On August 12th, heading in to work, I finally got hit with a small-sized rock chip on my windshield. I was coming up behind some 18-wheeler gravel trucks and tried to move to the other lane, but....I wasn't quick enough. BAM!!!! Lower driver-side corner with about a 3-inch length crack, a littler bigger than a quarter coin in diameter.
I took it to one of those quick "rock chip repair" guys, but in his opinion, he said it would be best to go ahead and get the windshield replaced.
So, I have Safelite coming out to my work place this Thursday, to replace the windshield (OEM of course).
