The video shows them removing a solid piece of aluminum from the spoiler with a right and left channel connected by wires, which can be installed into an aftermarket spoiler if it is hollow enough. I think this small issue will come to pass and the aftermarket will respond just as GM has in finding a solutions to the protests put up about the previous whip antennae.
