I believe dealers can put in orders any day they want to. It could be that they are just putting them in the system on certain days rather than every day, at least for the camaro. If he has an open allocation then he shouldn't sit on your order at all. He should put it in and it should pick up within a few days. The time frame he gave you is probably a good window, as long as he has an open allocation. The one thing you need to look at is the predicted constraints on the SS's. They are predicting that later this month they are going to reduce the number of SS's going through the production line each week. Do a search and you will find plenty of threads on this. Hopefully this helps. You could also search on here for the dealers name and see if others have posted about that dealer, usually pretty good information related to the dealers on here.
