trickle charger is a couple of amps charge that stays on 24/7 If left unattended for too long, it can overcharge or even boil dry the battery

a battery tender with float mode, is the best way to maintain your battery. A 200 to 300 milliamp float charge prevents sulfation by keeping it charged, and it switches to normal charging mode and turns on and off automatically

Do NOT get a trickle charger

Only use a battery tender
