The alcohol content allows for more aggressive timing. Plus, when converted to flex fuel, you do not need to have multiple tuning files like you would for different race fuels.

I can mix premium with e85 and the fuel composition sensor will read the alcohol content and adjust the tune in real time.

I'm not saying it will make more power than race fuel, but it is much safer since there is a sensor integrated into the system, and it is much more convenient since you don't have to drain your regulator fuel, add race fuel, then upload a different tune.
