Ryder, looks like you've got some good advice right there. I have a single JL 10 and single JL12 running off of the same JL amp. I have this set up for the exact reason above...10's hit higher and the 12 hits lower. No matter what kind of music I'm listening to, I get pure, clean bass. JL, IMO, is the best to go with and puts out a hell of a lot of bass...SO, if you want to rattle the headlights out of your car and skip your cd's while you're driving, go w/ 4 subs. Otherwise, buy one more JL 12 and you'll notice a huge difference.
