Mine was built 11/09 and didn't have any weights. Doesn't squeel either. So I'm glad to have 4 Brembos, no weights, and no squeel.
I'd bet Ford had originally planned on all 4 Brembos. The car might be easier to change than the marketing literature. Probably determined the rears weren't needed, and pitched them for cost savings.
