its not 2010 its coming in end of 2008-09 and 40 mpg isnt that hard to achieve any more. and diesel does get better gas mileage than regular gas. mercedes has it in there e class and you can choose which type you want diesel or regular and the diesel gets like 6-10 mpg better than the regular v6 in it
