Well, to be honest, in searching info on the web, I see nothing anymore stating mixing or going back is taboo. My mistake.
I am an aircraft technician and when I went to school (when tools were made of creative shaped rocks), it was absolute taboo to mix or 'go down' from Synthetic to mineral base oils. I wanted to find something concrete to support this, but cannot do so any longer. Not sure why this has changed.
