You'll do fine. Even in stock form the 5th Gen is a very potent platform. Certainly not the greatest, with the built in understeer but I'd definitely recommend this chance to try your hand at a road course if you can make it.
Btw i don't want to embarrass myself either but in my case it's probably inevitable...
