You'll get better. Your car will also run much better in cooler air. Another big tip is show up at least 1 hour before you plan to run your car. Let your car sit with the hood open.
Then when racing begins, get near the front of the line so you don't have to start and stop constantly moving up the line.
Do a nice little burnout (even on the stock tires). Get them nice and warm.
Launch very gently like you would on the street. You might think that will produce a slow run, but it will actually improve your 60' times.
