While we're on the subject of noises, I hear an
irregular sound like a small hammer tap in the rear when I am in Park and the engine is running. It sounds like a little elf repairing a shoe in the trunk..or he's trying to get out of the trunk. (Hold the jokes; I'm being serious).
It's not rhythmic or steady; it's random tapping.
Anyone ever hear this?
Could it be rattling baffles in the muffler?
