That is actually a normal sounding head unit for Procharger, i had a D1-SC on my 98 Z28, and it sounded just like that.....Kind of a geary-whine noise, and the rattle also. They do have the ability to make your specific headunit quieter or noiser i was told, it's al in the lash or meshing tolerances of the impeller and gearsets, and they said that either tight or loose, doesn't affect reliability... I just always liked the attention of the procharger whine when i pulled into a car show.
