Do all 4 or don't bother. Not only do your front wheels handle the steering, but they also do the majority of the stopping. Both of those are (usually) more important, safety-wise, than acceleration.
This will be my 2nd winter on a set of Blizzak's. Great tires that have gotten me out of several situations.
