Not really sure if that would work either as the flaps only quiet down the sound under 3k rpm after that it sounds like all hell broke loose. I just did ported tb, long tubes w/cats and cai intake and it is mean at wot. I just built my own version of a mild to wild controller for 1/3 the price and switching between the two is night and day but really only while cruising or under a certain rpm. To the original poster I say do it and after the install take it to a muffler shop and have them weld in a magnaflow resonated x-pipe where the factory H pipe is and you definately shouldn't have a problem. Are you going with cats or cat delete pipes?
