It's quite simple. All the PD blowers replace the intake and fill the valley with their lower manifold. Thus they use a heat exchanger in the front of the car that cools the water/coolant that runs to the i/c in the valley. Water to air i/c.
Turbos do not replace the intake so they use a air to air i/c.
Centrifugal superchargers go both ways, lol. Some use air to air while other can use water to air.
