What pads did you have on the car front and rear? Road race cars are generally XR1 front and XR3 rears. Low speed/low temp setups like AutoX are generally XR3 front and rear.

Just like going to hot, to cold of an operating temp can effect wear rates too.


Speaking from someone that daily drove on HP+ pads, their dust corrodes the wheels too. Have to wash them at the end of the day with Hawk, Cobalt, or almost any race pad for that matter. At the same point, the finish on the wheel will affect how well the dust 'sticks' to the wheel.
