Dude...you shoulda told them you'd put it on. Then, they'd either reset your court date until you could prove it was back on (w/ pix), or they'd probably just dismiss it. If they reset the court date, ... oops, I sold the car. I no longer have control over it and here is the bill of sale. Or, yeah, I put it back on, but I sold the car. Therefore, I can't prove it, but I sure hope you'd take my word for it and I apologize. Dismissed.
My SS was ordered w/ the special front facia and I wouldn't drill holes in that for anything. It stays original. Period. That's when I say, "That front facia was a $350 option ordered on the car and I purchased it from another state. I'm not altering the state of my vehicle thus lessening it's current value just to add a plate. I'm in a lose lose situation". They would understand in a personal way, but still might have a job to do. Then again, they just might say screw it. It's a waste of their time.
