I'm about to put in Hawks HP Plus pads on new rotors...

My question is, (probably a dumb one at that...lol.) do you re-use the thin shim pad that is on the stock rear pads?...

The stock pads for the front did not have a removable shim....Does the piston for the front (and back) go directly onto the new pad metal back, or should there be a shim/plate in between for the piston to hit?

Thanks in advance...
The Hawk pads have the shims built into the pad. Just install, Break them in and go!
