My only complaint so far is how stiff the tranny feels (esp 1 and 2). Does anyone think a short throw would help loosen it up or does it just need more time to break in.

I believe it loosens up in time. 1-2 used to be "clunky"; lotta posts about it. I've got 5k miles and it's pretty slick now.
