I wasn't arguing with you, though sometimes I fail to set a friendly tone...I was confirming your point with numbers. The Camaro should tow really well.

In that comparison, I forgot to mention brakes too. I'm sure the Camaro's brakes are lightyears ahead of the Park Avenue's.

Like I said, they have no reason to spend money on the R&D required to rate the car for its actual safe towing capacity.

Even de-rated, I would not exceed the rating; that could expose you to liability in the event of a crash, even if the crash had nothing to do with you towing beyond the car's rating.
