Actually, there's been more dead raccoons on the road this summer than I've ever seen. I notice because our crews pick them, deer, etc up and dispose of them. I have been calling in raccoons almost every day while I'm out on the road.
At least it wasn't a horse! We had a car hit a horse a couple of weeks ago.
Nobody claimed it, so we found a farmer that would let us bury it.
