Bozz, there is no asking price posted in the thread.

Only this at the bottom in big, bold red letters.
Please feel free to send SERIOUS Offers, as this is a serious car.

We're not talking about a few bolt on here's, but I appreciate the suggestion. I'll try to explain below. But I certainly know I'm not the only one out there that wants the best of the best when it comes to every aspect of the car, and just the thought of driving a stock Camaro is so boring when you can build a real monster or have someone build it for you! And quite honestly $60-$70K offered would be about what's expected.

It's a little confusing?
And similar cars by the bigtime builders would be $75,000.
So is that what you're asking?
Or are you wanting to get your $110,000 back out of it so you can buy a slower vette?
Just curious, it's a little confusing.
I enjoy your subtle sarcasm General, are you even the market for an upgrade on your 1SS or do you just enjoy trolling the Marketplace forum, and commenting on them? Are you just acting stupid, I'm just curious, because you're very confused reading my thread....This was a favorite, "Or are you wanting to get your $110,000 back out of it so you can buy a slower vette?" Slower Vette? Slower than what, your 1SS which is either 400 HP or 426 HP at the flywheel, so maybe 350 RWHP max? I can buy 2 "slower" Vettes, should I be lucky enough to find a sucker willing to pay what I've spent building my car. After looking at my car, does it seem that I'm the type of person who's going to leave my Vette stock? Just curious?

I really thought I was very detail oriented and I even directed you over to my build thread, it's very easy to find as it's usually on the first page for the past year & half, and all you have to do is click my signature. But I admit it is rather long, as I've explained basically everything I've done to the car since day 1 of the build.

I don't know maybe it would've been easier had I referred you to look up your answers in the 2 magazines the car was recently in, you're answers are there as well, (and clearly they DID THEIR RESEARCH TO SEE IF I WAS MISREPRESENTING MY CAR}except of course for your question on the the asking price. Which hopefully by now you've seen that you can me a serious offer, and there's no posted price.

So I see you did some reading as you saw that I spent over $100K on this build & to buy a base packaged car from one of those companies would start around $75K, but no where in my thread did I ask to recoup the $100K+ spent? I used those figures in order for a potential buyer to use when making an educated offer. Clearly you're smart enough to know that the minute you drove your 1SS off the lot after shelling out what, $33,000? That you'd probably get $24-25K if you're lucky and not knowing your car, condition, milage, etc....

Have you seen SLP's Panther 700HP (That rating's also at the flywheel) that came out early this year?

Look familiar? I started mine in October of 2011, before anything was even announced by SLP. Check out the mods on it and then check mine, nearly identical, but a lot of the parts I used were much better quality. For instance, SLP uses Eibach Lowering Springs and slaps $50 to $75 on the price and calls them SLP lower springs. They do that for quite a few of the SLP parts.

Let me give you a little history on SLP. Did you know that Shelby Automotive just recently bought them and immediately closed their long standing location in Toms River, NJ and basically told all the employees there that they were out of a job unless the decided to move to Michigan? That's pretty f**ked up if you ask me, but hey that's big business. So you see General SLP has changed dramatically within the past 2 months.

When I dealt with SLP back in September of 2011, I had moved from NJ to California 6 months prior, and I inquired about getting one of their cars. But I wasn't interested in Houndstooth seats, ZL wheel caps, SLP embroidered headrest, or any other bullshit. I was interested in them because of their long standing relationship with GM stretching almost 4 decades and they offered a warranty on there SLP Supercharger kits, something that in the past was unheard of. But it also came with it's restrictions.

So back then there were 3 ways to purchase an SLP car, if you want all the bells and whittles and $25,000-$50,000 add ons, you had to ship your car to Toms River, NJ and they'd give you the full monty. Another way was to purchase one directly from one of their small group of dealers, most of which were located back on the East Coast, and again came with all the SLP paraphernalia and high mark up. And lastly, you could have their Stage 1 kit shipped directly to a GM dealership or one of their approved GM Certified vendors, like say Cunningham Motorsports for instance. He's authorized to work on SLP cars, at least he was a few month ago, not sure how it works now that the Ford people have taken over.

So are you beginning to understand how it works? No, I didn't get the fancy 1 of 250 built plaques for an additional $500 since it wasn't put together in Toms River, NJ. I was directed to Rich Hill, the newly appointed Director of Operations for the West Coast, and in collaboration with Paso Robles Chevrolet my vehicle was the first SLP car put together on the West Coast...All of this is clearly stated in my build journal, and if I had any interest in buying a car of this caliber, I'd research everything the author had to say about it and read his journal from front to back to learn all about the car. But that's just me, that's why there's Asti Spumonti and Crystal, different strokes for different folks.

I took the liberty of making copies of some of my receipts from SLP and I hope this little history lesson has helped inform you that there are other cars besides the ones that say ZL327, ZL427, ZL454, ZL560, ZL585, ZL600 & ZL700, that are SLP cars and just not driving around with an SLP license plate frame calling themselves SLP cars.

My Declaration Page for my 5yr/100K mile warranty from SLP

My initial bill from SLP where it clearly states purchase of the SLP Stage 1 kit and warranty, and how it was shipped directly to the dealership and not my home, because that was their requirements in order for it to be an SLP car with warranty. You'll have to excuse me blurring out the important stuff, there's a lot of weirdos on this worldwide web

Even Magnuson gave me a 3yr/36K warranty

So you see General Lee, if I also would've ordered the SLP seat package for $1200, I could've gotten seat skins that came in any color combo I wanted with a Bowtie on them or maybe the SLP Boost Gauge and cheap steering column mount pod for $330, or how about their "Blackwing Stage 2" cold air intake for $429. I pulled my original Blackwing intake off quicker than shit through a goose, partially because I was getting the MPD1 true Ram Inducted Z-Force hood and it works perfectly with the CAI, INC Cold Air Intakes and Bill from CAI & Roger from EmblemPros went above and beyond to help me get my custom, no plexi glass, hyrdodipped lid, and the Blackwing tube is garbage.

So I hope I have been able to spread some light and answer your questions and have proved that I no way misrepresented my car in any way, shape or form, and that I HAVE NOT posted an asking price. I have given every minute detail possible in a 35 page+ Members Build Journal, the title is easy to find, it states Car of the Week 3/26/12 when the car wasn't even halfway done, 2 magazines articles give the gist of the build, numerous sponsorships given to the car, and the privilege of being selected out of thousands to be one of 35 or so on display indoors at the GM Nationals 2013, they even offered me a spot indoors for 2014 too. So that means some lucky individual will be able to show off the ZLX at next years biggest GM show in the world. It could even be you General!

So as for pricing it's real simple, I've spent over $100K(every receipt will go to new owner) to build a world class Camaro capable of out performing most super cars costing a quarter million or more, but then the potential buyer needs to determine a fair price he's willing to pay to have one such vehicle, and save him the aggravation, time and money of building it himself. I am fully aware that I'm not going to make money on this build, that wasn't the reason I did this project, that's why I was honest and said how much I have into it. Will I settle for .50, .60, or .75 cents on the dollars spent? Or the other option, is someone can always build it themselves and spend all the money on the best parts, labor, time without a car, and seeing what works and what doesn't work together.

I've already received an offer after one day, and who knows maybe next week I will post an asking price?. But right now the choice is yours if you're in the market for a one of a kind, fast as the devil proven performer, that's turnkey and ready to give you the ride of your life.
