It's one of the ways how, besides feel, I know when the ZL1/1LE will be able to hold still around a bend. The tires need heat...and the display presents that as pressure.
I can sort of see this but usually about 1/2 lap of moderate driving will warm things up considerably and you can feel when they are ready to push, I guess if you are monitoring pressure changes as the heat increases that would be another way to confirm they are warming but no matter what that readout is showing you, you are going to drive by the feel, if you have grip, push a little more, if you are on the edge hold what you got, if you are sliding back out of it a little....

Damn I need another day at the track, I love that sensation of powering out of a corner and drifting to the curbing right on the edge of feeling like the car is going to fly off the track.....
