The original '67 Camaros (along with Novas, Chevy II's & Impalas) had V-Flag emblems on the front fenders that you can actually order on many
aftermarkets websites.
The C1-C3 'Vettes all had crossed flags emblems. It wasn't until 1984 (C4) did the
Corvette emblem abandon the crossed-flag design, but even then it was closer to a horizontal badge than anything. The C5 brought the return of the crossed flag design until 2005+ where the C6 and eventually C7 logos morphed into a pronounced V emblem.
At any rate, anyone who says this emblem looks like a Corvette logo is confused and obviously not a serious Camaro (nor Corvette) enthusiast. To paraphrase a quote from the classic movie
Dodge Ball, politely tell those people to cram it up their cram hole and move on. lol!
