The Z/28 manage to lose very little weight even with the extreme measures they went through. From what I understand, Ford didn't sacrifice amenities to keep weight down. They didn't take it to the extreme GM took the Z/28.

I'm not saying the GT350 won't be fast and I don't believe GM engineers are the only ones who can make a fast car but the Z/28 set the bar pretty damn high.

The LS7 makes torque from displacement and the 5.2 makes power from RPMs.
