Another tip is a game camera.
I have one outside it's got motion sensor. It's just cats and dogs 99% of the time.
But it's got night vision too. Good evidence gathering. I put tape over the LED and so they can't see record indicator on.
Yes it's true I am paranoid but I have been burned many times in the past and the recession brings out more night prowlers.
