I wouldnt say 2-3 seconds. Thats a bit too long. Probably 1-1.5 seconds ideal. Its a matter of feel. WHen youre comfy, you wotn think about the time it takes to shift. You just shift it. You can try reving the RPMs to match the shift ( which Ive not tried that much) to make it smoother. The 1-3-5-6 approach works well to simply cruise and you have ample torque to get you well on your way. If youre playing around, you want to row through them all to get the best bang for you throttle...
