first, whatever you do, DO NOT tell the dealer you need to be at a certain monthly payment. they'll play way too many games to get you to that number. what you want to get from them are 4 things:

Out the door price
length of loan
amount of payments
and interest rate.

tell them you will not even come to the dealership until they can provide those things for you. to show your a serious buyer, let them run a credit inquiry on you if the want, and tell them what your going to put down, and what you'll be trading in. if they can make the numbers work, get it. if not, consider a lower trim camaro, keep saving, or look at something else.
