The resonated X is essentially a perforated X pipe with a muffler surrounding it. They will quiet down the exhaust, but in my opinion it is a necessity on the V6 if you have/planning on getting headers.

If that's the case just a regular x pipe would work with the LFX engines because our headers are built into the engine right. Will a regular x pipe quiet the exhaust as well?
