Unless you have another car to drive daily you might want to rethink this.

Drive around in 4th gear for a while and just imagine that the auto will actually run even higher rpm due to converter slippage.

It would save a bunch of money from having to do suspension mods or clutch with the manual and be more consistent at the track but would KILL driveability even with stock gearing.

You might even want to consider a swap to A6 gears with the auto.

The manual may be slower but it's more fun! I think a good clutch is paramount to getting consistent low 60' times.
