it is just a set of teeth and the reverse on the wheel. think of a socket, it does not matter where the socket and bolt/nut line up, the will in several places.

I am going to put a few more miles on my vert (it has 148 as of this morning) before I pull the dash apart. I read that our cars may be prewired for this, but I will still have to disassemble the instrument bezel to check. I still need to find out exactly what I am looking for though.

Maybe paint a line across the teeth/wheel so when you put it back just line up the paint marks to make sure?
