Sure - I was going to take more pictures and provide more details in a new thread at some point, but never got around to it. Here's the shots I have, the last one is with my iphone jammed in under the front edge of the hood with it almost closed so you can see the opening size. I wasn't trying to make it look pretty, just testing the idea, so it could look a lot nicer if you wanted.
No water gets into the engine area, and for this I just used metal window screen I had to cover the opening - you should be able to find something much nicer than that! This doesn't do anything for my intake air temp as I have a CAI CAI, but it certainly allows more heat out of the engine compartment and more airflow, so at least it does something besides being decorative.
