The short answer is no. Once that unit is programed to a specific vehicle.... that is it. The only only exception is if that individual is selling a new unit (uncut blade) in a sealed GM bag. In fact, some eBay sellers would insert a blank blade in to a "used" unit. You go to a locksmith... he lazer cuts your unit... you insert it (after inserting the original) and nothing happens. This actually happened to me. Both the dealer and the locksmith first asked me the most common question: Where did you get the key.... followed by: was it sealed in the original GM bag.
