It is exactly the same as the 2011. The car was designed to have the HUD from the start, even the mounting holes are there for it under the dash.
You can move the position vertically. It displays the phone number, music source, song name, XM channel, tach, speed, compass, gear (in automatics), turn signal, turn by turn navigation and probably other stuff I am forgetting.
There is a switch you have to install right behind the keys. It has a pair of buttons for moving the display vertically and a knob that controls the brightness and the page.
