Depending on the year, it's where the sway bars connect to the lower control arms.

I don't know about the V6's, but I know the early SS Camaro's had the FE3 suspension which had the sway bars connect to the LCA's "inside" the spring/strut assembly, whereas the FE4 suspension has it connect on the outside (closer to the wheel). The FE4 bars are longer, and the endlinks are different.
