That's how it's pretty much done now. Some of the older times were not run in the manner though...

I don't think it was limited because it was pretty much at redline if you looked at the tach' reading. I've been wondering if it will pull to top speed in 6th, because I'm pretty sure that was fifth, just following the gear changes around the track...
