I also think with all the tradition we are trying to follow with the Z/28, we need to follow on pricing. From 67-69 the Z/28 base price averaged 5%-6% higher than the SS base price. If we base that off of todays MSRP of the 1SS, the Z/28 would start about 35K.
I would probably still pay 40-45K given it's what I want and government regulations have increased production costs, but my point is the Z/28 back in the 60's was almost as attainable as the SS was to the average person. In 69 these were the base prices of each model Z28: $3,185 - SS: $3,023. That was $152 difference.
