Lots of original Camaros had 6-cylinder engines. From Wikipedia:
"The Camaro's standard drivetrain was a 230 (3.8L) straight-6 engine rated at 140hp (104kW) and backed by a Saginaw three-speed manual transmission"
My Camaro's 327 was originally rated at only 210 hp.
