I pulled the tranny out and the dual mass was junk. It had about an inch of rotating play. I replaced the flywheel and clutch and its quiet now. Shifts better too.

What did you replace the flywheel with? Aftermarket? Do you know if the stock flywheel could be adjusted to reduce the noise?
