Still no thoughts from anyone on the barbs I hooked the cords too.....


I am not sure about any barbs, I felt around and couldn't find anything but the posts you hook the tonneau cords on. I put it on the last two days and still not sure what you are describing.




Sounds like some one at the dealership flipped the barbs around because they didn't know about the studs.

Angrybird, you didn't see the set up before the studs get put in. The barbs face the back seat. They look like a flush plug from the factory when looking forward with the top down. It's done thatcway since not all convertibles get the tonneau cover.
