I'm not mechanically inclined, but trust the GM dealer working on my car and he eluded with the extra weight of the 22's, and the added friction need for the brakes to compensate for the weight, makes the rotors more acceptable to warping !
I actually thought of this but as PQ stated, they vibrated in the first 100 yds after putting them on the car and is why they were sent back the first time. They have NEVER been right, from day one.
