i had mine done by my audio shop. I had bought the kit and DD on line. they were doing a whole system for me (sub,amp,speakers) while out of the country for a week. they had similar issues with the unit i provided.
I have to hand to the Scosche folks, they worked with my shop and shipped a new unit to them (even though i was the one that bought it) and it was all ready when I got back.
