One other question.....did you top off the brake resivoir with DOT 3 since that's what it says or did you mix DOT 4 with the DOT 3 fluid?

I would remove the fluid from the reservoir before you disconnect the hose. I'm planning on using a large syringe or turkey baster. After everything is connected, refill with fresh fluid. Most DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluids can be mixed...just check the label on the bottle first, just to be sure.
