Do you drive in the rain at all?
If so, would it matter if water gets in the vents?.. other than making a mess of your clean engine?
I just ask because I have seen people make a big deal of the Jay Leno style hood because it doesn't have anything to catch the water falling into the engine bay..
But water gets in through the grille too right?
