You are taking about bouncing off the rev limiter that is not the same as shifting a few hundred after the peak. Rev limiter is going to cut your power off considerably.

NPP with fuse pull is worth is even if the weight was the same and it had zero Benifit. Car sounds like it has a v8 in it.
