it's not TOO much or too little. It's just enough. It was the little tweak that was needed to solve the issue.
my settings are
Treble - +4
Mid - +4
Bass -4 or -2 depending on input type.
They are Kenwood E-series 10" in a truck box powered by a kenwood 600x2 amplifier that is mounted to the back of the box.
And it sounds perfect all the way upto 36. And I also left the center speaker with no issues.
